Meet the folks who make it all happen. We see big potential in every moment, and care deeply about what we do every day.
A native of eastern New Mexico, Dr. Franklin would attend House High school and then go on to graduate from New Mexico State University in 1983. Equipped with a BS in Animal Science, he was on his way to becoming a veterinarian and future owner of Franklin Veterinary Clinic. This is where he would help change and save the lives of animals!
After completing his undergraduate degree, Dr. Franklin went on to earn his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University. He came to Ruidoso, where he worked as an assistant veterinarian at Green Tree Hospital. This allowed him to expand his veterinary knowledge from horses to all species. Now that he was ready to help all animals, Dr. Franklin opened the doors of Franklin Veterinary Clinic to the public in 1990.
Dr. Franklin’s special interest has always revolved around equine reproduction, and he enjoys practicing both animal and small animal medicine. He doesn’t have much free time nowadays, but he spends the little free time he does have on various activities. He enjoys raising race horses, tending to his livestock, playing sports and spending time with his children, Dusti, Brand and Sky.
Hailing from the heart of Texas area-Waco, Dr. Brunson’s lifelong goal has been to keep dogs, cats and their pet parents happy. As an associate veterinarian at Franklin Veterinary Clinic, she has been blessed with the opportunity to do it every day!
A graduate of Texas A&M University, Dr. Brunson has been solving medical and surgical problems for animals for the past 33 years. She moved to Ruidoso to be closer to her family and has worked all over the state of Texas for 35 years.
In her free time, Dr. Brunson enjoys traveling, gardening, sewing and curling up on the couch with a good book!
