Barbara has worked at Franklin Veterinary Clinic for 6 years starting her adventure as a assistant. She transitioned into the office over the years and now works part-time while managing Dr. Franklin’s horse paperwork for his breeding farm.
For the longest time, Desirae was convinced that she would be a wildlife biologist with an emphasis in animal enrichment. Desirae joined the veterinary world in 2011 at a mixed animal practice in southeast New Mexico. She later joined Franklin Veterinary Clinic in 2013. Desirae worked as a technician and receptionist for many years before becoming the on-site office manager for the clinic.
Lynette loves animals (except reptiles!), so it makes total sense that she would feel right at home at Franklin Veterinary Clinic as a receptionist. As someone who was raised showing and raising registered cattle, Lynette is used to being around animals, so the fact that she gets to be around them all day, every day is a bonus!
Since Ashley was little, she had a plethora of animals, from reptiles to mammals. She is from El Paso, TX, but she was raised in Naples Florida. Living in Florida she has had snakes, lizards, bunnies, dogs, and just recently she had a cat, he was her first cat ever and she loved him so much. He was rescued as a kitten and Ashley thought he was a female but he turned out to be a male and his name is Mandy.
A native of Tularosa, NM, Sarah joined the Franklin Veterinary Clinic team in December of 2015. As someone who enjoys working with both small and large animals, Sarah feels right at home at the clinic!
You never know when a routine visit to the vet might turn into a career opportunity – just ask Kayla. One day, she took her pets to Franklin Veterinary Clinic, and happened to run into Dr. Franklin, who asked her if she knew anyone that was looking for a job. Kayla just so happened to be searching for employment at the time, and was hired as a part-time veterinarian technician!
Winter was raised in Northern New Mexico where her family had small farms with sheep and dogs. While growing up she always wanted to work with animals whether it was a shelter or clinic. Living in Ruidoso she learned that there are plenty of horses and cattle around. She grew to love horses and all other animals beside dogs.
Weslee was born in Ruidoso New Mexico and was raised in a small town in West Texas. She has been around horses her entire life and have always had a love for all animals. Franklin Veterinary Clinic has given her a great opportunity to pursue her career as a Veterinary Technician.
Evie was born in Texas but have lived in New Mexico as long as she can remember. She love animals and they have always been a huge part of her life. After high school she decided she wanted a job that would allow her to be with animals and help them; Veterinary Technician seemed like the perfect choice! Her goal is to constantly learn more about animals and become the best Veterinary Technician she can be.
Ericka was raised in the Central Valley of California, she first discovered New Mexico in 2016 when she found herself working at a summer camp, Lone Tree Ranch, in Capitan.
Brandy graduated from Northern Virginia Community College with an AAS in Veterinary Technology. Animals have been a large part of her life since she was very young and she have worked with them in many capacities, including as a horse farm manager and zookeeper.
Ale have always loved animals, especially dogs. That’s the reason why her dream job was to be a Vet Tech. She stepped into the vet field back in 2018 as a kennel assistant in a small animal clinic in Lansing, IL.
Miriam is currently a senior at Ruidoso High School! She began working as a kennel tech here at Franklin Veterinary Clinic in August of 2022 and have loved it since. Animals have always interested her and are something she is passionate about so the experiences here have been great for her.
One day, Nick brought his family pet to Franklin Veterinary Clinic. While there, he was impressed with how kind and friendly everyone there was, and thought to himself “This would be a great place to work.” As fate would have it, Nick would eventually join the clinic as a maintenance supervisor and to help out when needed!
